Lake Sammamish is a lake 8 miles (13 km) east of Seattle in King County, Washington, United States. It lies to the east of Lake Washington and to the west of the Sammamish Plateau, and is 7 miles (11 km) long and 1.5 miles (2 km) wide. Lake Sammamish runs north and south, stretching from the city of Issaquah, Washington in the south to Redmond, Washington in the north. It is a freshwater body that drains into Lake Washington via the Sammamish River. Issaquah Creek feeds the lake on the southern end. It has a maximum depth of 105 ft (32 m). The main leisure activities include rowing (crew), water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and jet skiing.

The area surrounding Lake Sammamish has been, in recent times, the most rapidly growing suburban district in the Greater Seattle Metropolitan Area. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, the cities of Redmond, Snoqualmie, Fall City, Issaquah and Bellevue have grown substantially. A new town, Sammamish, Washington was incorporated in 1999, because of the suburban growth.

Lake Sammamish is bordered by Marymoor Park at the lake's north end, Lake Sammamish State Park at its south end and East Lake Sammamish Trail.

Located four miles east of Bellevue this large body of water has a year-round open season.

Fishing Description:

Wild cutthroat trout and smallmouth bass are the main draw. Yellow perch, brown bullhead catfish and largemouth bass are also present. Check the latest regulations pamphlet for special rules. Closed to fishing for kokanee (freshwater sockeye), steelhead and some salmon species. Salmon opportunity will depend on in-season abundance.
