Briery Branch is a 9-acre lake located in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests in Rockingham County.

Fishing Description: 

The lake is stocked with trout and channel catfish. Largemouth bass and bluegill are also present. Catfish angling should improve since this lake was stocked with catchable size (average 1.2 lbs) channel catfish in 1997, along with the normal fingerling catfish stocking.

Boat Ramp: 

Briery Branch Lake is bank access only; however, a small boat or canoe could be carried down a path on the roadside of the dam from a small parking area.
