Tying The Silver Hilton Steelhead Fly

This is one of the best known steelhead patterns for the Santiam River system in Oregon. Simple to tie, and very effective in winter or summertime low clear conditions. Best fished on the swing. Effective for Cutthroat as well!

Bonefish on the Fly in the Cayman Islands

Bonefish on the fly in the Cayman Islands. Flats fishing nonsense with Capt. T and Davin Ebanks as we wade the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. From getting caught in a squall to perfect bonefishing weather, we saw it all, and still caught fish. (Of course, I've edited out most of the missed hook-sets, break-offs, and plain bad casts, just to make us look like we rock.) Enjoy.

PS Notice how none of the fish were lifted out of the water: How we roll.

How to Attach Backing to a Fly Reel

http://www.theflyfishers.com Jared Ehlers teaches a great way to tie backing on to your fly reel. Very simple, strong and not bulky! We use this from little 2 and 3 weight fly rods for trout up to the biggest saltwater fly fishing setups.
