Fishing Report Grayrocks Reservoir Wyoming - 2011-06-03 #1
I put my boat in at the east ramp and began fishing at 0830. this ramp is usable to smaller craft, had to back farther into the water than I like but got it unloaded. I trolled an orange beaded worm harness with silver blade and a #5 SHADRAP. My first fish was caught east of the east most restroom in about 10 ft. of water (58 deg. F) 13" crappie, caught on the rapala. The next 2 fish were walleye and were each 19", again on the rapala. Picked up my third walleye on the worm harness again in about 8' of water south shore, 0915 hrs. continued to troll the south shore between the last point before the dam and the east restroom. Picked up several bass, one13.5". At 1015 hrs. had my limit of eyes and called it a day. smallest walleye was 14', the rest were over 16". These waters can be frustrating to those not familiar with catching eyes. The wind can come up in a hurry so keep an eye out , watch for thunder storms...play it safe and get to cover... seen 4-5' whitecaps come up in no time. The face of the dam can produce some eyes and is always good for bass. Good luck! For guided trip call 307 575 3714.
