Had a few hours to kill and got a tip about this lake, both of us are in from out of state, avid bass anglers, we found ourselves here without a boat so have been taking to the shores... We fished near the dam and off the public fishing pier near the public boat launch. threw out jigs, and plastic worms (both wacky style and carolina rigged) at sunset we used live frogs on bobbers, didnt get any bites for the 2.5 hours we were there. Water seemed dirty but not as bad as the rivers, we talked with 4 other anglers that had been there most the day and they hadnt caught anything either, they were using live bait... I overall loved this lake, I will look inyo renting a boat and giving it another go, I will be in Virginia for about another month.... Keep your lines tight!
