Contributed by Eddie Hester, (804) 693-2107. The beautiful mild weather this weekend brought out a lot of park visitors. Most were enjoying the park trails and the opportunity to just be outside. Stephanie and Mark Van Cuyck of Hayes enjoyed a good day while fishing at the Beaverdam pier. The couple had a large number of bass, crappie, yellow perch and some nice chain pickerel. I don't expect the weather to stay like this, but I'll take it while it lasts.
