Fishing Report Watts Bar Lake Tennessee - 2011-11-04 #13
The lake is cooling. The number of local anglers gathering at the lake has fallen due to deer fever. The Ohio crowd has taken up the slack. The anglers are concentrating their efforts on locating stripers, bass and crappie.
Locating the fish has been the problem. Some fish are deep and some are shallow. The transitional period of the season has created some difficult conditions for many anglers. Shad are moving into the shallow water more and more each day and when they have completed their migration into the shallows the fishing should improve.
Crankbaits are the most used baits. Some crappie have been caught in the tailwater areas as well as bass, catfish, stripers and sauger. Only a few sauger have been caught this season.
