Fishing Report Ogallala Lake Nebraska - 2010-08-31 #6
Surface water temperature is 69° F. Trout fishing success has been very good in the south basin and Keystone Pool with fish up to 14 inches in length. Bank anglers are having success using salmon eggs, nightcrawlers or commercial doughbaits. Boat anglers have success trolling or casting spinners. Approximately 30,000 nine-to-ten inch rainbow trout have been stocked since the fall 2009 renovation. Success has improved in the North Platte River and Keystone Canal immediately below the Diversion Dam. Salmon eggs, nightcrawlers or commercial doughbaits again are the preferred baits.
