I didn't catch any cats or perch, but there were a few anglers that caught many. I did catch a 3 lb bowfin. I'm new to this area, so I'm still learning all of the tricks for what the fish like here. There was a man in waders below the spillway catching a perch about every 15 minutes. Had a nice string of them. I've never fished for perch before, and as this was my first attempt, I'm not thoroughly disappointed that I didn't catch any. I used a #5 monster hook and used a shiner with a 2 oz sinker weight, and a 30 lb leader. water was flowing quickly over the spillway.
