Fishing Report Clinton Lake Illinois - 2010-07-23 #8
FISHING AREA: Fishing is outstanding at the 4,900 acre lake. It is the ideal place to drop your line and catch fish. Favorite fishing spots are in the upper arms of the lake, the bridges and the spillway. Boaters can fish the old creek channels or submerged flats for great action. There are six public boat ramps and one canoe launch. There is also a special pier at the Mascoutin access area for the disabled. A variety of boats are available for rent at the Dockside Marina which also has a full-service bait and tackle shop. Clinton Lake also has a beautiful, 1,000 white sand beach for swimmers. Enjoy the great outdoors at the lake - go picnicking, hiking, camping, water skiing, hunting for upland game, horseback riding, boating and fishing. It's a wonderful place to relax and watch the wildlife and nearly 40 species of birds. Clinton Lake is located 3 miles east of clinton in central Illinois. Travel Illinois Route 54 in Dewitt County.
