Fishing Report Canyon Lake Arizona - 2011-11-06 #5
Lake elevation is 1,657 ft, which is 94 percent full. Stocked with trout for the first time last week. This lake will be stocked with trout on alternating weeks. There are plenty of fishing piers, so it is very shore angler friendly. In fact, much of the area where trout are stocked are in boat-exclusion zones, providing shore anglers a slight advantage.
I’m getting mixed reports on Canyon, I guess it all depends on patience, persistence and maybe a little luck. Trout were stocked last week and you know Swimbaits will entice the bass. Dropshot is always a good bet this time of year. Use the fish finder or pay attention to where the diving ducks hanging. The trout like to school up and down the shores so keep an eye out for them.
