The Joby Gorillatorch Switchback headlamp/lantern transforms from a compact lantern to a high-performance headlamp to meet all your lighting needs. Switchback easily converts from a lantern that can be used around camp to a headlamp that will light up the trail while hiking. 1 high-output CREE® XLamp® white LED combines with 2 standard white LEDs and 2 standard red LEDs to give you all the options needed for lighting up the night. Choose from 4 brightness levels and a dimmer to find the lighting level you like best; output ranges from 5 lumens on low to 130 lumens on high. Use the center on/off button to operate the high-output LED; hold button down to activate dimmer. Use the left on/off button to operate the white and red LEDs; hold button down to activate strobe function that alternates red and white light. High-output LED throws light up to 23m on high. Headlamp tilts to point light where you need it; adjustable elastic headband holds the light securely in place. While in lantern mode you can use the flexible legs to attach the light to almost anything, from table tops to tree branches. Remove the lantern unit and you can use the legs as a tripod for your point-and-shoot digital camera. 2 AA alkaline batteries (included) provide up to 72 hrs. of operation; battery indicator light shows you when you need to change the batteries.
