Moore Reservoir is an impoundment on the Connecticut River located in the communities of Littleton, New Hampshire; Dalton, New Hampshire; Waterford, Vermont; and Concord, Vermont. Created by the completion of the Moore Dam in 1956, which caused the flooding of several villages, including Pattenville, NH, and old Waterford, Vermont.

At 3500 acres Moore Reservoir is actually New Hampshire’s fourth largest lake, and its largest undeveloped lake. Thanks to a recent agreement between the hydro power company, federal and state agencies, conservation groups, and the CRJC, the reservoir will stay that way, to remain open for wildlife habitat, water quality protection, and public recreation.

Fishing Description:

Moore Reservoir is an excellent location for both bass and trout. It is also a good spot for northern pike and chain pickerel.
