Bay Springs Lake is a 6,700 acre reservoir on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is impounded by the Jamie Whitten Lock and Dam. The lake is approximately nine miles long, between waterway mile markers 412 at the dam, and 421 near the entrance to the divide cut.
Bay Springs Lake is a deep, clear, beautiful lake with 133 miles of shoreline.

Bay Springs Lake is one of the best smallmouth bass fishing lakes in Mississippi.

7/8/2011 - JACKSON – Fisheries Biologists with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP), with help from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) Park Rangers, recently stocked 75,000 fingerling 3-inches long Florida largemouth bass in Bay Springs Lake. The fish were raised at MDWFP’s Turcotte Fish Hatchery near Canton. The fish were delivered to the boat ramp, then loaded into aerated livewells and coolers on the COE’s boat and taken to coves with good habitat and dispersed by the Park Rangers.
