Sand Lake is a 3391 acre lake in Itasca County, Minnesota. There are three Sand Lakes located in the county; this is the largest one and is connected to Bowstring Lake through a navigable channel.

Fishing Description: 

Sand Lake has excellent fishing for walleye, black crappie, northern pike, yellow perch, tullibee, and bluegill. Other species found include black, brown and yellow bullhead, bowfin, golden redhorse, shorthead redhorse, pumpkinseed, rock bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and white sucker.
