Bald Eagle Lake is a 1,268 acre lake located on the edge of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. This is one of the many fishing lakes located within the Twin Cities metro area.
Fishing Description:
Bald Eagle Lake is primarily managed for Walleye and Muskellunge. The Walleye population has steadily increased since 1987 and is presently above median levels for abundance.
The lake also improved fishing for largemouth bass, black crappie, and northern pike, although the yellow perch fishing has been down recently.
Fishing Tips From Users:
Bald Eagle has been the most popular muskie lake in the east metro area. The boat access parking lot is often full on weekends. Walleye and largemouth bass fishing can also be good. Panfish angling is very popular in the winter on this lake.
Boat Ramp:
County Park: Public access to Bald Eagle is located within Bald Eagle-Otter Lake Regional Park operated by Ramsey County. Travel north of White Bear Lake on Highway 61 to 120th street (north county line). Turn left at the stoplight, then another left on the west frontage road to 61. The access is about one-half mile south of 120th street.
Bobbers Bait: this is a private facility located at the north end of the lake. To reach this facility, travel west from Highway 61 on 120th street and follow the lakeshore around until you reach the site. This facility also rents boats.
Other:
The only shore fishing on this lake is from the fishing pier located south and east of the boat ramp. Parking for the pier is just south of the entrance to the boat ramp entrance road.
Directions to Lake:
Bald Eagle Lake is located just north of the city of White Bear Lake west of the intersection of Highway 61 and County Road J.
