Green Lake is a large stretch of freshwater lake located in the state of Maine, United States. It lies 17 miles south of Bangor and 32 miles north of Bar Harbor in the Acadia National Park. Green Lake lies off Route 180 which connects the settlements of Bangor and Bar Harbour. It is popular tourist destination, due to it sense of remoteness, natural beauty.

Green Lake also contains a National Fish Hatchery, which is part of the USFWS Atlantic salmon restoration/recovery program for the Gulf of Maine Rivers.

Fishing Description: 

Green Lake is an original home of land-locked salmon in Maine. It also contains a good amount of trophy smallmouth bass. It has seen excellent growth in its lake trout with some trophy trout from 10-20 lbs.
