The park sits on 3,050-acre Taylorsville Lake, where anglers can vie for bass, bluegill and crappie. The 1,200-acre park encompasses some of the most beautiful riding country around, not far away from Louisville, Kentucky's biggest city!

Fishing Description: 

Current forecasts are fair for white bass, but good for largemouth and striped bass, black and white crappie, bluegill, and channel and blue catfish.

Facilities and Parks: 
Camping: 

The campground at Taylorsville Lake offers 42 full service campsites for RV's, and horse lovers can sleep under the stars with their equine pals at one of ten camp sites set up specifically for horse camping. There is a central service building with laundry. Closed mid-January to mid-March.

Ten sites of the campground are set aside for horse camping.

Marinas: 

Marina has open and covered slips, gas, food, and fishing equipment. Rent a marina fishing boat and; schedule cruising time on one of the marina's pontoon boats, or launch your own from four launching ramps. Seasonal. Settlers Trace Boat Ramp and Marina (Taylorsville Lake Dock): (502) 477-8766.

Other: 

The 16-mile trail system is managed as multi-use trails for hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders.

Directions to Lake: 

From Louisville, take I-64 to I-265 south and KY 155 to Taylorsville. Turn east on KY 44 and drive three miles to the park. From Bluegrass Parkway, take KY 55 exit to Taylorsville.
