Fishing Description: 

The fish species present are largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, and channel catfish. Additional species include green sunfish, warmouth, black bullhead, yellow
bullhead, and gizzard shad.

Fishing Tips, Tactics, How-To info: 

Bluegill Fair/Good Most fish 6-7 inches. Few larger fish in the population.
Channel catfish
Stocked annually. Good number of 15-20 inch plus fish in the population.

Largemouth bass
Decent number of 12-14 inch fish in the population. A few larger 16-18 inch fish available.

Redear sunfish
Low but increasing numbers. Most fish 7-8 inches, but some 9-10 inch fish also available.

Facilities and Parks: 

Facilities include a concrete boat ramp, an ADA fishing pier, and a graveled parking area.

Directions to Lake: 

Carpenter Lake is located off Highway 405 in Daviess County approximately 10 miles northeast of Owensboro.
