Fishing Description: 

Species present include largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, , warmouth, channel catfish, and black crappie.

Fishing Tips, Tactics, How-To info: 

Bluegill
Good numbers of 6-8 inch fish available.

Channel catfish
All sizes available. Stocked annually.

Crappie
Large fish present; fish laydown trees, stakebeds and brushpiles in late winter and early spring.

Largemouth bass
Numerous 11-13 inch fish.

Redear sunfish
Better than average numbers of larger fish (8-inch plus) available. Larger fish in the shallows early in the spring; move back out to deeper water later in the year.

Boat Ramp: 

A concrete launching ramp is available at the dam; however, no other facilities are
available. The entire shoreline may be reached by foot.

Directions to Lake: 

Briggs Lake is located approximately 2 miles north of Russellville off Highway 79 in Logan County.
