Storm Lake is 3,097 acre lake in Buena Vista county located at the south edge of the town of Storm Lake.

Fishing Description: 

Major species include channel catfish, crappie, walleye, and white bass.

Fishing Tips, Tactics, How-To info: 

Storm Lake has had phenomenal walleye fishing trolling crankbaits or casting jigs in the dredge cut and north shore in May and June. Fishing was hot all summer and fall in 2007.

Storm Lake has an excellent population of 2- to 5-pound catfish and fishing is good right after ice out.

Storm Lake has 8- to 17-inch white bass, many caught while fishing for walleyes. Cast from jetties or rocky shorelines.
