Evergreen Lake is a 886 acre lake located 10 miles north of Bloomington. It offers a wide variety of fishing with largemouth bass, channel catfish, saugeye, and muskie all in good supply and all of these varieties are stocked each year.
Evergreen Lake has the current state record Saugeye - a walleye / sauger hybrid.
Evergreen Lake has two boat ramps and has a 10 horsepower limit on all boats.

Fishing Description:

Largemouth bass are a huge draw for this lake with about 2/3rds of the bass caught being over 15 inches. They are available from April through October and are found most often in the tree tops and the points.

Saugeye are abundant in the lake and some get over 25 inches. There are predictions that the lake currently houses another record breaker. Saugeye are best in the Spring and Fall along the shoreline and in the points.

Channel catfish average 4 pounds, but there are a good number that get from 8 pounds all the way up to 16 pounds. The best time to for catfish is June through September in the upper end of the lake.

Muskie are also abundant with 1/4th of the catch being over 38 inches. These are best found in the Spring and Fall in the points and along fallen trees.

Crappie are also available in the Spring in the points and along brush piles.
