Lake Cleveland Campground is a high elevation campground located next to an alpine lake, from which it derives its name. Snow remains long into the summer at this elevation, but once the campground is open it is very popular and receives high volumes of campers and day use visitors.

From the campground visitors have access to a wide variety of high-alpine recreation opportunities. Hiking, fishing, motorized and non-motorized trail recreation are popular with visitors. Mt. Harrison lookout tower is a popular vista nearby.

Directions to Lake: 

From I-84 follow the signs to Pomerelle Ski Resort. Take Exit 216, ID State Hwy 77 South approximately 18 miles through the towns of Declo and Albion to Howell Canyon Road.

Head east, up the canyon on Howell Canyon Rd. for another 8 miles. Road is steep and winding. Look for entrance sign on your right.

Use caution with travel trailers and RVs; not all campground loops are suitable for trailer turn-arounds (Lake Cleveland - West End has no trailer turn-around).
