Can an automatic 4 cylinder Ranger pull a fishing boat?

Can an automatic 4 cylinder Ranger pull a fishing boat? I've seen some 4cyl trucks pulling boats but unsure.

Totally depends on the size

Totally depends on the size of the boat. If you are talking a flat bottom john boat, it is no problem even if it's 20' long. If talking fiberglass or wood, anything over 14' with an outboard is going to be pushing the limits of your truck. It may pull a slightly bigger boat, but you aren't going to be able to pull it out of the water, up the boat ramp.
