Can an aluminum boat handle a bigger motor then it is rated for?
i have a 14' aluminum V-hull boat that is rated for up to a 15hp. Can it handle a bigger motor then that?
The transom is engineered for a certain amount of weight and thrust that will be applied to it. If you exceed that, you risk severely damaging the transom and sinking the boat. I would NOT exceed the recommendation rating.
