Connecticut offers excellent freshwater fishing opportunities throughout the year with its numerous public lakes and ponds and thousands of miles of streams. The state has plenty of trophy sized bass and trout in the spring and summer, as well as great ice fishing for large walleye and pike. The state stocks trout, pike, and kokanee salmon at different times throughout the year.
