Antelope Lake is located on the upper Indian Creek in Plumas County, a tributary of the North Fork Feather River, 43 miles from Quincy. The lake is part of the Upper Feather River Project within the Plumas National Forest, and was constructed to provide recreation opportunities, to maintain the natural beauty of the area, and to improve fish habitat in Indian Creek by assuring a constant, year-round flow of water below Antelope Dam.

Fishing Description: 

Open to fishing since 1965, the lake is stocked with rainbow and brook trout. Anglers can also catch small and largemouth bass, and channel catfish. Fishing is usually good in Indian Creek below the spillway at Antelope Dam. Fishing and hunting are regulated by the California Department of Fish and Game.

Fishing Access can be found at Lunker Landing, Guiney Point and a Picnic and Day Use Area is available.

Recreational Activities: 

Camping, picnicking, waterskiing, swimming, boating, hunting, hiking, snowmobiling, and wheelchair-accessible fishing.

Camping: 

Campgrounds include Boulder Creek, Lone Rock, Long Point, Long Point Group.

Boat Ramp: 

A Boat Launch (for a fee) is located on the north side of the lake.

Directions to Lake: 

From Greenville, on Hwy 89; go S 5 miles to Beckwourth Greenville Rd. Turn E, go 16 miles to Indian Creek Rd. Turn N, go 10 mi. to information station at reservoir.
